چکیده

Interest in superconducting microresonators has grown dramatically over the past decade. Resonator performance has improved substantially through the use of improved geometries and materials as well as a better understanding of the underlying physics. These advances have led to the adoption of superconducting microresonators in a large number of low-temperature experiments and applications. This review outlines these developments, with particular attention given to the use of superconducting microresonators as detectors. 169 A nn u. R ev . C on de ns . Pound-locking for characterization of superconducting microresonators.

We present a new application and implementation of the Pound-locking technique for the interrogation of superconducting microresonators. We discuss how by comparing against stable frequency sources this technique can be used to characterize properties of resonators that cannot be accessed using traditional methods. Specifically, by analyzing the noise spectra and the Allan deviation, we obtain ...

Experimental aspects of Alpha, Beta angles distortion on superconductivity in 1111-type Iron-based superconductor

In this research, we aim to clarify the relationship between the structural distortion due to doping and the superconductivity existence in the FeAs4 structure. For this, we have prepared polycrystalline of NdFeAsO0.8F0.2, NdFeAs0.95Sb0.05O0.8F0.2 and Nd0.99Ca0.01FeAsO0.8F0.2 samples by one-step solid state reaction method. The structural and electrical properties of the samples were characteri...

Testing gravitational physics with superconducting gravimeters

Superconducting gravimeters are the most sensitive instruments to measure surface gravity changes at low frequencies. Currently, about twenty five superconducting gravimeters are operating in the world and their global network has been developed. We investigate possible applications of the superconducting gravimeters to tests of gravitational physics. Previous experimental searches for spacial ...

Three-dimensional calculations of the magnetic fields in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder in an applied axial magnetic field

In this study, a set of self-consistent coupled-integral equations for the local magnetic flux and current distributions in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder under an axial magnetic field has been directly derived by using the Biot-Savart law within the framework of the critical-state model. The equations were first solved numerically in the three-dimensional space before obtaining the h...

Macroscopic tunnel splittings in superconducting phase qubits.

Prototype Josephson-junction based qubit coherence times are too short for quantum computing. Recent experiments probing superconducting phase qubits have revealed previously unseen fine splittings in the transition energy spectra. These splittings have been attributed to new microscopic degrees of freedom (microresonators), a previously unknown source of decoherence. We show that macroscopic r...
